Q: How do I create a Live game?
A: Follow these steps to create a Live game:
Log in to your profile and look for skills on the left side of the page.
Select the skill you want to practice.
Choose a specific task from the options in the middle.
Click the orange "Play Live" button on the right.
You'll be taken to the teacher lobby, where you'll see the game code and a list of students who have joined.
Students should open 99math, click "Enter code" at the top of the page, and enter the code.
Start the game by clicking "Start game."
You're all set!
Q: Where can I find the game code?
A: The game code is displayed on the teacher’s screen after selecting a skill and clicking “Play Live” or “Individual Practice.” Students can join the game by either using the link provided or by typing in the game code shown on the teacher’s screen.
Q: Why can’t I see "Individual Practice" like my colleagues?
A: You’ll unlock the assignment feature and access "Individual Practice" after playing one live game with at least 4 students. You can also find “Individual practice” in the dropdown list under the "Play Live" button.
Q: What’s the maximum number of students that can join a Live game?
A: There is no maximum number of students for a Live game. As long as you have a good internet connection, an unlimited number of players can join. Note that a minimum of 3 players is required to start the game.
Q: Can I assign practice to an individual student instead of the whole class?
A: Yes, you can assign practice to individual students or small groups. When setting up an Individual assignment, select "Class not selected" and share the game link or code with the specific students you want. This way, only those students will receive the assignment, and you'll see their results in the report.
Q: Why can’t I adjust the time and round amount like my colleagues?
A: You can adjust the time and round amount for Live games after playing your first Live game with at least 4 students.
Q: How can my students change their avatar?
A: Students can change their avatar by either:
Selecting a new one when they join a Live game.
Logging in and clicking on the avatar in the lower-left corner of their main page or by visiting the shop.
Students can also buy new avatars with Mbucks earned from playing the Home game.
